Public Health Issues

Dear Friends:

As you may or may not know, I have been working at a natural grocery store since October, while running in place for POTUS. Since Senatot Warren dropped out, and both top contenders are in the high risk group during this pandemic crisis,  I have decided to stay in the race. Although I am, for the most part, an unknown,  i feel as if I would be abandoning my civic duty to withdraw at this time. Things can change at any moment.
We all have skills that may be helpful to the common good. The question we all have to ask ourselves is: "Where will those skills be of best use? "

That said, I will be sharimg more observations and ideas as we enter this new phase of living together on this changing planet.

Here is one:
Observations: we breathe on each other and over surfaces. If potential carriers of Covid-19 are asymptomatic, there is no way of knowing who can spread the virus in the community, so if you must be in public, we are going to have to develop new habits.
Perhaps we should require masks for everyone in the food industry. These should be the same grade as used by surgeons in the operating room.

To that point, perhaps eachnof us should be wearing a mask, scarf or bandana over our nose and mouth. It will stop is from touching our faces, and that is an improvement, isn't it?

Please feel free to share any ideas you come across that you think might help All I ask is that you link back to and/or credit the source. The answers are out there. We just need to know where to look.

The more people of different and diverse backgrounds and perspectives engaged in the process, the more creative and complete the solutions will be. It doesn't have to be perfect. Let's start where we are.

I will do my best to share what I find, and will include source links.

Try your best to be calm. It helps your immune system.

Love,
Mari
