Gig recap: Saturday, September 13th was a blast on that little Saloon stage. Our drummer, (who had his first drum lesson at the age of five) Martin, commented that Arne gave "a heroic performance."  Herman E. stopped by and gave a thumbs up to the band. Craig Caffall and Dave Powell traded licks Thanks to all who joined us.

Joy and Sorrow

Joy 

The morning started with  beautiful note from a new and dear friend who recently discovered my album, "Can't Go Back" - which was released 15 years ago, without the  benefit of a marketing budget, and my efforts to self market were met with ridicule, along with rejection of my proposed video ideas... So, I stepped back, and decided to instead focus my communication skillset on a neighborhood issue about a sidewalk, which was really not about the sidewalk, but about politics, communication, and how people will do just about anything to silence the truth when it gets in the way of their agenda. It's complicated. 

Anyway,  her words brought me to tears of joy and relief. 

If I still felt the need to be running on the music biz hype treadmill, I would share her words. But I'm not on that treadmill.  And since her words were sent to me privately, that is where they will remain, unless and until she decides to share them. 

Sorrow

Violence. I don't condone it or recommend it, except when it is necessary for self defense.

Substack's Notes seem to be where most writers migrated to after Elon took over X and hopped on the T train.
