As I write this, I find myself feeling a mixture of familiarity and determination. Familiarity, because I felt this way about ten years ago, as I was preparing to release my first album, "Can't Go Back." It was 2010, and the album had taken a long time to make, for various reasons, ranging from trauma to financial restrictions. In a few short months, we would receive a letter from the Marin County DPW, announcing a meeting about a sidewalk planned for what used to be our street, a semi-rural road in Homestead Valley. It rocked me off my foundation for a bit, a foundation I had needed for a long time. Thankfully, I learned a lot from that experience, after all, that is what we are supposed to do, isn't it?
But I digress.
What has me awake, when I should be asleep?
California AB5. It is bad legislation that requires a full and immediate repeal.
Seriously, this is the biggest bunch of BS I have seen in a while. And these days, that is saying a lot.
