Hello!
One more show for the year, and it's a fun one! I used to dread SantaCon, which has a reputation for being "a bunch of drunk tech bros dressed as Santa, puking in the bushes..." but it's changed a lot! A bunch of cool, creative people have taken the helm of SantaConSF and expanded it to include a toy drive in Union Square and costume contests at the bars surrounding the landmark. All that happens from 12 - 2, and then the Santas spread about the city. It's fun to see all the creative costumes! The event in Union Square is family friendly and it is free.
From 4 - 8 pm, Mari Mack & Livin' Like Kings will be holding court at our monthly spot in North Beach - the infamous Saloon, 1232 Grant Avenue, corner of Vallejo, just off Columbus. No cover, 21+, tips for the band are appreciated, bar is cash only, and there is a one drink minimum (non-alcoholic choices in addition to the usual bar fare, especially if you don't want to be one of those aforementioned drunk Santas!)
After that, we concentrate on family and I get out the lasagna pan...
However you choose to celebrate the season, include some live music! It'll do you good.
Ox,
Mari
